Mustafa has long experience at sea. He has a merchant Navy Chief Officer license, up to 3000 tons in all waters and Professional Captain license. Mustafa was captain on a gullet when Ghislaine sailed from France to Rhodes in 1982 with her lovely classic Zarik 1,. They met in Marmaris 1983 and began their very successful charter career on the Turkish coast and among the Greek islands. Mustafa and Ghislaine were married in 1989. In 1994 Mustafa become technical manager of the Stardust Marine base in Marmaris while Ghislaine continued chartering and captained Zarik I until 2003. In August 2004 Mustafa and Ghislaine bought Zarik II. Eight month later the total refit of the yacht was completed and 2005 was their first season.
Mustafa speaks fluent English and French. With all his years of experience in the Aegean Mustafa will find the best places to anchor and snorkel, the most secluded coves, great hikes, calm bays for water sports and amazing star gazing. Mustafa will teach the young ones to snorkel and fish, He will be happy to share his sailing skills. He is the ideal captain calm under pressure and always willing to share helm. He is kind and thoughtful. Mustafa's expert ability, gentle and calm manner, will make you feel safe and at ease in any situation on the water When he is not sailing Mustafa enjoys reading and running. His hobby is woodwork.
Ghislaine Bruyere Onay
Ghislaine is a long time sailor. She grew up in Nice on the water. She was seven years when she started sailing on small dinghies. She studies in Geneva, Switzerland, where she races on the lake. She has a translator diploma from the School of Interpreter. Ghislaine speaks fluent English, Turkish and Italian. Ghislaine has a Yachtmaster Offshore License. She traveled and sailed a lot and always loved to work on new recipes she would collect on the way. Her family is from Lyon, the cradle of famous chefs and she is a Michelin 3 stars; she is a fantastic and innovative cook.
Ghislaine with her accommodating and endless patience, her generous spirit and funny wit is also a consummate hostess.
When she is not on board, Ghislaine enjoys painting, reading, running and yoga.
